- Harri Lönnberg (b. 1949), Professor of Organic Chemistry, has lead research projects funded by the Academy of Finland, the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation (TEKES), the European Union and enterprises in Finland and abroad.

Responsibilities include the monitoring, evaluation and development of quality systems as well as doctoral level education.
- Pirjo Nuutila (b. 1959), Professor of Internal Medicine and part-time Chief Physician of Endocrinology at Turku University Hospital, has been a coordinating professor of metabolism research at the Turku PET Centre since 1998. She is the Vice Director of the Academy of Finland Centre of Excellence in Molecular Imaging in Cardiovascular and Metabolic Research and the Director at Turku Graduate School of Clinical Sciences.

Responsibilities include the development of education and teaching as well as promoting societal and interest group relations.
- Tapio Reponen (b. 1947), Professor of Information Systems, served as the Rector of the Turku School of Economics in 1996-2009 and as a Vice Rector in 1983-1995. He is also the Chairman of the Kauppatieteellinen Yhdistys ry (Finnish Scholarly Association of Management), a member of the project team of the national OSKE Centre of Expertise Programme and a member of the board of the Southwest Finland Centre of Expertise.
The Vice Rectors are also in charge of the international operations in their fields of responsibility. The Vice Rectors’ term of office starts on 1 January 2010 and ends together with the Rector’s term on 31 July 2012.
