You can get advice at the University Sports Office in choosing an appropriate sports activity and information on available sports hall reservations. Also, the following sports equipment can be loaned out:
- badminton rackets
- shuttlecocks
- tennis rackets
- tennis balls
- basketballs, volleyballs and footballs
- compass
- stopwatch
- poles for Nordic walking
- bats, balls, and gloves for Finnish baseball
The following electronic items are also available for loaning:
- various instructional videos (e.g. roller skating)
- instructional CD-ROMs for the David gym equipment
Also available:
- guides and instructions for sports and exercise
- brochures on sports events
- maps of recreational areas, cycle tracks and sports facilities in Turku (in Finnish). (You can also find the same map on the webpages of the Turku Sports Department)
The sports activities organised by the Student Union of the University of Turku:
The Student Union of the University of Turku (TYY) organises courses and activities that are not regularly included in the University Sports programme (e.g. indoor climbing, swimming, bowling, and night tournaments of various ball games).
