Orientation Course for Exchange Students

New exchange students are expected to arrive for the Orientation Course.
*Exchange Students coming to Turku School of Economics are expected to arrive in Turku latest Friday August 17, in order to do course registration in time. The Registration for the courses on first period start on Monday, August 20 at 8:00 am. The students are selected to the courses based on the time of registration. That is why it is important for you to register for courses right at that time, if you want to secure your place in a certain course. In order to be able to use the electronic registration system NettiOpsu, you need to first register to the University at the international office and then go to the computer help desk in order to get your username and password.
Orientation Course is organised to help you to adjust to Finnish student life and living and studying in Turku. Most of the international programmes will start during the following week after the orientation.
The following themes are examples of what will be discussed during the orientation course programme:
- Presentation of the University of Turku
- Presentation of the Student Union of the University of Turku
- Registration procedure
- Practical information about studies and courses
- Language courses
- Computer facilities
- Library facilities
- Introduction to the history of and present day Turku
- International study programmes
- Student Health Care
- Student housing
- Printed material (about studies and living in Turku) will be handed out
- Information sessions for students participating in international programmes
- Free guided bus tour in Turku
- Welcome Party organised by the Student Unions in Turku
