Fulbright - University of Turku Graduate Award
The Fulbright - University of Turku Graduate Award is aimed for Americans for studying or research in master's or doctoral level at the University of Turku for one academic year. Also post doctorate placements are available for those finalizing their thesis before commencing the grant period.
The application
The application process has two stages: At first it is administered on the U.S. side by the Institute of International Education (IIE), which oversees the application process and pre-screens applicants. An Acceptance letter by the tutor/supervisor of the exchange/research in the host university needs to be attach to the application. Secondly, after the Fulbright Board makes its decisions on grants the grantee should apply to the University of Turku.
Who can apply?
The Grant is available for Americans holding a Bachelor's or Master's degree. Academically talented graduating senior students are also encouraged to apply. The Graduate award is aimed for those currently seeking admittance or admitted to the University of Turku either to its doctoral programs or projects including post doc placements or to its Master's degree programs. Master-level non-degree studies can also be considered. However, post/doctoral exchanges or degree studies are preferred.

In addition, there are International Master’s Degree Programmes in English and one in Finnish and several English non-degree programmes for exchange students.
